Have Your Say: 2019-20 School Year Budget Survey Now Open

Dear WCDSB families, students, staff, and interested community members:

We are busy preparing our budget for the next school year!  Each year, as part of our budget development process, we ask stakeholders for input on areas of the budget that have the flexibility to incorporate community feedback into our financial planning.

The budget survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and anyone and everyone with an interest in Catholic education in the Region of Waterloo is welcome to fill it out.

The survey is open now and will close on March 25, 2019.  Results of the survey will be shared as part of the 2019-20 budget presentation which will take place at Resurrection Catholic Secondary School in Kitchener on June 3, 2019.

Last year’s (2018-19) board budget is available by clicking HERE.

We thank you for your feedback — and for your ongoing support of Waterloo Region’s Catholic schools!

Pancake Tuesday

On Tuesday March 5th, to celebrate Shrove Tuesday, kids are asked to leave their breakfast at home.

School Council would like to treat the students, faculty and staff of Sir Edgar Bauer Catholic Elementary School to a pancake breakfast on Shrove Tuesday. Pancakes, syrup and juice will be served after morning announcements and kids will eat breakfast together in their classrooms.

Due to the large number of students participating in the pancake breakfast we are not able to accommodate food allergies, such as eggs, gluten and/or dairy. If your child has a food allergy or any other dietary restriction we ask that you please send a breakfast snack with them to school. This will allow all kids to join in the celebration!

Park in designated parking spots only.

We know that you may only be there for a minute and your car may not be blocking anyone; but it may be in an area where it alters the sight lines for a child walking through the lot and/or causes another vehicle to have to manoeuvre around your car. DO NOT PARK OR STOP IN THE HANDICAPPED DROP OFF ZONE IN FRONT OF THE SCHOOL UNLESS YOU HAVE A STICKER.

Please do not park on the laneway during student arrival in the morning and dismissal as the school buses have difficulty maneuvering around your vehicle and also obstructs the view of students who may dash onto the laneway.

Please do not leave your car idling. If you are not in the driver’s seat, please do not leave the engine running. If a child is jumping into the car, across the driver’s seat, it is possible for the car to be put into gear.

Please respect all of the traffic signs on school property and on the street. Stopping or parking illegally may cause a situation that causes a child to be injured.

Some of these expectations may cause you minor inconvenience. However, we’re sure that you understand that the safety of the students at SEB is the responsibility of all of us. If you have arrangements with grandparents or other caregivers to drive your children to school, we would ask that you make them aware of these expectations. Please drive with caution at all times, especially near the school.
