PD Day Reminder and Emergency Vehicles

A reminder to all our Awesome SEB families that tomorrow, Friday, October 25th is a PD Day. There will be no school for students. Extended day staff is working.

This morning, emergency vehicles were at our school. A staff member took ill suddenly. They are now safe and under appropriate medical care. Please reassure your child(ren) that the staff member is being well taken care of and we hope to see them again soon. Classroom teachers reinforced this with your child(ren), yet we wanted to make you aware in case anyone is worried. Thank you for your support.

Walking School for SEB?

The Walking School Bus

What is it?

A walking school bus is a group of children walking to school with one or more adults or older students.

Why do we need it?

It will provide safety to the students that have to walk to school. A larger group will provide more safety to students by being more visible. Also, a group that looks out for each other has more eyes on the road at dangerous intersections. There is the added benefit of exercise for the students.

Who is it for?

Grades 1 to 8. Students must be able to walk to and from school without the older students or volunteers helping them.
