Our SEB Staff would like to wish all of our amazing Stars a safe Halloween. Can you guess our staff school theme?
Hello Stars,
With loosening of Public Health restrictions, schools have been granted the option of reintroducing hot lunches for the students. Our first pizza day will be Wednesday, November 10th. Slices are being sold for $1.75 and will be individually packaged. You should have received a Cash Online notice last evening.
Please note that families will need to order by the month. If wanting to order for any/all of our Wednesday pizza days, it will need to be completed before November 4th.
Thank you for supporting our Stars.
Hello Stars,
Bus #247 arrived to the school 15 minutes late so please expect your child to be delayed if they are on this bus. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Hello Stars,
Please review messaging about parent meetings for our grade two families and First Communion along with our grade seven families and the sacrament of Confirmation. Feel free to contact the Church directly with any questions.

Hello Stars,
We hope everyone is well. We continue to thank our families for their support and partnership. Please continue your COVID screening for your children each day. It is wonderful that the community case numbers are lowering yet we still want to remain diligent with our screening. https://covid-19.ontario.ca/school-screening/
We also ask that, as always, if your child is ill or showing general flu symptoms they remain home until all symptoms subside. Thank you for keeping our students healthy.
Due to COVID protocols, we were not able to host our ‘Meet the Teacher Night’ again this year. Instead the SEB staff is sharing a video which highlights our building and team members. Please enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yo8rcU469Us
Our student leadership team and staff have been busy planning for some Halloween fun next week. See below for some highlights.
Please see messaging from St. Michael Parish, Grief Support Group.

Student Census: Students in Grades 4-8
As you are aware, we have our WCDSB Student Census beginning in just over 2 weeks. We invite you to please have a look at the census here https://www.wcdsb.ca/student-census/
Click here to read the Student Census memo Why are we launching a Student Census at WCDSB? The Student Census is an online survey that collects data specifically related to self-identity, demographics, and experiences at school.

|
The purpose of the WCDSB Student Census is to eliminate systemic racism and advance racial equity in the WCDSB as authorized by the Anti-Racism Act in s.7(2). The WCDSB Student Census is a confidential and voluntary survey for all students from Grades 4 to 12 that students will complete with their classroom teacher during class time. The results and analysis of the census will allow us to gain a deeper understanding of the diversity of students within the WCDSB and of the cultural, social and demographic makeup of our students.
The WCDSB Students Census is voluntary. Any student may choose not to participate, to stop participating, or to skip a question at any time. Additionally, parents/guardians of students under 18 years of age can ask that their child be exempt from participating in the census. As part of our communication campaign, information has been distributed electronically by school Newswire, on our website, and on social media. As you will read within the Student Census information, there is an OPT out opportunity, this process is explained within the link. The OPT out option is available until October 25th should parents choose this.
We look forward to sharing the results from the Student Census as it becomes available.
