During the Month of October:
October’s Focus is on being a Responsible Citizen. Students will join together in a faith celebration on Thursday afternoon to kick off this month’s theme and will then engage in a range of classroom activities aimed at developing these skills throughout the month.
Being a Responsible Citizen means:
- I am fair
- I am a peace-maker
- I am forgiving
- I follow rules and do my share
- I help the poor and care for people in need
- I stand up for what is right
- I know that all life is precious
- I respect and protect the world and all that is in it
Because I accept my responsibilities, I can make a difference, and will live my life like Jesus.
Deep Learning Transferable Skill: Digital Literacy
Transferable skills are the skills and attributes that students need in order to thrive in the modern world. Based on international research, the Ontario Ministry of Education has defined seven important categories of transferable skills – sometimes referred to as “competencies” – that will help students navigate the world of work and meet with success in the future.
During the month of October, as Catholics we will show transferable skills through collaboration, communicating, creating, innovating, solving problems in digital literacy and being Responsible People.

November Fundraiser!: Coming soon…Terra Cotta Cookie Dough Fundraiser! It will be completed all online and frozen premade & preboxed cookie dough will arrive to the school for you pick up in time for Christmas!! The school specific link will be available for you to order for friends and family or shareable for friends and family to order themselves! *Amazing features are their vegan and gluten free options!

Clubs, Teams & Sports:
We are busy getting your children moving this fall! Currently, we have boy’s volleyball, flag football and girls’ basketball teams running. In addition we have bracelet club for grades 7 & 8 and Mrs. Schmitke leading our choir beginning this week for grades 2-4 (to begin). THANK YOU to our staff and parents who volunteer their time, energy and skill in leading these opportunities!
